Consumption and new ways of social interaction on the Internet

The Master Dissertation titled ‘Consumption, resistance and subjectivity: narratives about veganism in a virtual community‘ looks at how Brazilian Vegans organize virtual communities to share personal experiences and knowledge about veganism. The hypotheses expressed in this work point out the existence of a strong emphasis on the need for self-control by promoting deep self-transformation. Thus, the vegan would be driven to independence, owner of his own will and responsible for their actions.
